My wedding work started with a bang in 2013 when Nuha and James commissioned me for their St. Stephen’s Trust Wedding Photography in early March. It was the first wedding of the year and I was pretty excited to get back into the groove. Additionally, when I lived in London I’d passed St. Stephen’s Trust many times but never realised it was an all-in-one wedding venue…. a very smart wedding venue it is too.
My day started with a little bridal preparation photography at Nuha’s flat where the mood was clearly Fabulous! Lots of fun and help from the bridesmaids.
I headed off to St. Stephen’s Trust for the early afternoon ceremony. After navigating the Hampstead traffic I got there with plenty of time to spot friends and family greeting each other warmly.
Nuha and her dad duly arrived as James and his best man waited patiently at the end of the aisle. A beautiful wedding dress, of course, and Nuha’s dad looked very proud as he walked down the aisle with her.
Once the room was prepared it was time for speeches before dinner and again there was a lot of fun, laughter but above all emotion.
Those that know me, or have been to any of my lectures on documentary wedding photography will know that I seek out those very tender moments that often manifest themselves through touch. The simplest of human iteration – touch. There was plenty of it at Nuha and James St. Stephen’s Trust Wedding and as I left I got the impression they were going to be very happy together.
Dear Kevin, Thank you so much for our amazing photos – we love them and are just what we’d hoped for. We can’t stop looking at them! Love James and Nuha
