Cheltenham Wedding Photography

A few weeks back, I photographed the wedding of Pete and Lindsay in Cheltenham. It was a glorious day weather wise, and the wedding itself was just perfect too.

The ceremony was held at luxurious Queens Hotel in Royal Cheltenham Spa, with the rest of the festivities held at the wonderful Postlip Tithe Barn. Lindsay, Pete and their friends and family spent many hours decorating the barn themselves, including supplying several local ales on tap which pleased many of the guests (especially in this part of Gloucestershire :-) ).

Lindsay had mentioned to me in the pre-wedding meetings that her parents were part of a folk band. When, on the day, I found out that that band was the legendary 70s folk band Frogmorton I was a little star-struck throughout the day. This wonderful wedding was complete for me when Frogmorton themselves played a set to cover the first dance and to kick off the evening celebrations.

As always, here are a selection of my favourites from the day – all shot in a completely natural, non-intrusive photojournalist way.

Whatley Manor Wedding Photography

Photographing a wedding at Whatley Manor is such a privilege.  Laure & Rob got married there last weekend, and, as ever the hotel and its staff were impeccable.

Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great for this wedding so Rob and Laure were confined to the inside for most of the day.  Not to matter though – they had a thoroughly good time at their wedding, and so did all their guests.

I have several other weddings this summer and next year booked at Whatley Manor and I’m looking forward to each one more and more now.  Here are a small selection of some of my favourite images from the first edit.

As ever, all of thse shots are pure documentary wedding photographs – no prompting, posing or moving of subjects.

Wedding Photography at The Hare and Hounds Tetbury

This weekend the weather was just stunning for the wedding of Shelley and Andy at The Hare and Hounds Hotel here in the Cotswolds.

The Hare and Hounds is a lovely hotel nestled between Tetbury and Westonbirt.  It’s recently been refurbished and the setting, along with the weather and all the guests having such fun made this a very special wedding….. finished off with some great Chinese Lantern action.  There was some concern about the local Arboretum with the lanterns, but with Andy being a Firefighter and two crews at the wedding as guests there wasn’t really too much risk.

Kingscote Barn Wedding Photography

The wedding season is upon us again, and what a great start.

This weekend, was beautiful wasn’t it?  Well, I got to photograph the wedding of Tim and Sharon at The Kingscote Barn and it was certainly a beautiful event.

While Sharon got prepared in the Talet House, I could see the excitement building in the Barn itself.  Quite a few of the family came to this stunning Cotswolds wedding from Essex, and various other parts of the country.  There had been some sadness recently, and I could sense the emotion throughout the whole day.

It was a wonderful wedding, Sharon and Tim genuinely looked so happy.  I wish you both all the best in your new lives together.

It’s always nice when you get feedback too, and here is the feedback from Sharon and Tim when they saw the full set of images upon return from their honeymoon:

“Kevin, Kevin, Kevin, OMG…….you have done a fantastic job, we have spent the last half an hour or more, crying and laughing with elation! You have done an amazing job for us and our family and friends……absolutely awesome!!”

Here are a small selection of the images edited today.  If you were a guest at the wedding , please check out the print gallery.

Please click each image to see larger versions as always.

Just a quick reminder that I’m taking bookings now for 2011 (and still have some availability for 2010).  I’ve filled 10 of the 30 wedding commissions I will do in 2011 so if you are considering a 2011 wedding, then please get in touch.
