Weddings at The Hare and Hounds Westonbirt
Weddings at The Hare and Hounds Westonbirt: The end of May saw me photographing weddings twice at the gorgeous Gloucestershire hotel The Hare and Hounds and it happened to be on the most balmy weekend we’ve had here in the UK weather wise. I’m fairly sure since then it has just rained and rained.
Emilie and Nicolas contacted me relatively late via the brilliant wedding designer Isabel to photograph their wedding at The Hare and Hounds. I’m so glad I took on the commission as it was one of the most entertaining weddings I’ve photographed this year I think.
Both Emilie and Nicolas are French and so were all the friends and family. I had complete rein to document the wedding as I saw fit. It was a long day, but a wonderful one. I started with some bridal preparation photographs of Emilie and her friends in the Game Keepers cottage. The nerves and the bubbly were flowing……
The ceremony itself was just magnificant and as with most Weddings at The Hare and Hounds, Westonbirt the ceremony was held in a lovely oak panneled room overlooking the stunning lawns and gardens. Emilie, I think, was particularly happy judging by the photographs.
The rest of the day seems like a blur. There was bouncy castles, very very impressive Jenga Skills, impassioned speeches (as only the French can do so well), kissing……..lots of kissing……and some wonderful music from one of Nicolas friends.
As I left after around ten hours of photography I was exhausted, but happy – and I know the party carried on for a good few hours after I departed.
As usual, a selection of some of my favourites from the wedding of Emilie and Nicolas. Please feel free to share on social media, Facebook etc. And leave a comment too…..I’d love to have your feedback.
For the photographers, the wedding was shot with a combination of Canon 5D Mark III’s and a Fuji X100
