Wedding Photography at Kingscote Barn, Gloucestershire
The end of March saw me photographing my first wedding of the year at The Kingscote Barn, Gloucestershire. It’s a venue I am very familiar with and whilst I have shot there many time, wedding photography at Kingscote Barn always yields new and visually different images for each wedding I shoot there.
Sarah and Joel had commissioned me to be their documentary wedding photographer last year. Sarah got ready at her mum and dad’s house and I popped over there in the morning to get some shots of the business and excitement in the household.
From there, it was over to The Church of the Holy Cross in Owelpen near Uley, Gloucestershire. It’s really is such a beautiful church, and one I’d never been to before. Situated right above Owelpen Manor with lovely views over the countryside. After a gorgeous wedding ceremony, it was off to Kingscote Barn for the party.
Once the guests had arrived I started shooting. As you know, I work as a story teller, rather than directing and posing people, I simply take images that are purely candid and that I hope tell a true and sympathetic story of the wedding day as it unfolds. Wedding photography at Kingscote Barn is always a pleasure. The staff are always very welcoming to both myself and of course their clients and its lovely to watch them all enjoying the grounds and the rooms at the barn itself.
After a stunning wedding breakfast, and some speeches it was time for the dancing and my key to disappear into the night.
