Stroud Wedding Photography
Late September saw me photographing the wedding of Sophie & Stephen. The ceremony was at the lovely St. Mary Magdalene Church in Rodborough followed by a great reception at The Black Horse, Amberley, Gloucestershire.
I’d met Sophie and Stephen a couple of times before and they are genuinely a very lovely (and very much in love) couple. Throughout the day, you could see that they were enjoying themselves immensely and they were also ensuring that all their guests were having a great time also.
The Black Horse at Amberley is a wonderful local public house, that I’ve been to many times before. With stunning views over the Stroud Valleys it really was a perfect place for the reception. There was a set of lovely, emotive speeches followed by a very cool first dance.
As usual, here are a selection of some of my favourites from the day – all photographed from a reportage wedding photography point of view. Feel free to leave a comment.

Great photos, Kevin – I love the atmosphere you’ve captured and the little emotive aspects: those hands clutching, the confetti face, the reflection in the window.
Great set of shots, particually like the reflection!!
Fantastic work as ever Kevin – I especially like the shot of the baby during the ceremony, really good observation
Hi Kevin.
Fantastic photos again….Still one of the best in my eyes…
As you know I’m just starting out on my road as a wedding photographer….you give me great inspiration.
Thanks for letting us see you work.
Ditto to all of the above. Additionally and somewhat unexpectedly I’m drawn in by the upstairs windows of The Black Horse Inn. Enormous attention to detail in the rendition of your images as well as the taking of them.
Fantastic photography Kevin. Love the one with selective focus on the baby, the unobtrusive shot of the groom on the pew and the reflection on the window. Great stuff
Mate…baby down the aisle…GENIUS! Final shots a winner too.
Great work as ever.
We’re really happy to see our photos on your blog and really touched by what you have written. It was a very simple but wonderful wedding (in our opinion!) and you have captured the very essence of it – though we knew you would the moment we met you. All our thanks, Sophie & Steve.
