St Lawrence Church Lechlade Wedding Photography
What a crazy start to 2012 it has been. After a brilliant SWPP convention in London I am slowly catching up with blogging etc., before the weddings start again for another very busy year. For any photographers who attended my SWPP Masterclasses, you may well recognise these images. This was the absolutely wonderful wedding of Victoria and Max that was held at St Lawrence Church Lechlade followed by a grand marquee party in their family private home nearby.
It was a stunningly beautiful Autumn day in Lechlade (although a little bit windy perhaps). Victoria got ready at the house and walked with her father down to the church where Max and the rest of the congregation were waiting for her. Of course, she looked absolutely stunning, and Max looked very stylish too. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a groom look so proud as he watched his bride walk down the aisle.
After the ceremony the guests took the short stroll back to the house where a wonderful garden party and marquee reception had been set up. The wind played its part (well, that’s Autumn in England I guess) but all the guests had a great time in the garden before heading in for the speeches, meal and dancing. Victoria’s father made a very emotional speech, followed of course by Max and his best man making the guests laugh on many occasions. It was a really lovely set of speeches and guests slipped comfortably from their wedding breakfast into “dance mode” for the evening celebrations.
As I left, the dancing was in full swing and I’m fairly sure it lasted until the very early hours of the morning.
I had a lot of favourites from this wedding, many of which I have shared below. Whilst there were lots of guests, it was also very intimate with lots of love and laughter throughout. I’ve selected images here that I feel really sum up this wedding. Full of laughter, full of touch, and full of love.
As always, guests from the wedding can see the full selection here. Please feel free to leave a comment also.

Fantastic as usual but these seem to have an added sparkle about them.
All my favourites. Every time I see your work it reminds me why I want to focus on documentary style photography from now on. Excellent set of images. The image where the bride is getting kissed on her forehead is really beautiful and captured perfectly.
Fabulous expressions in this selection Kevin. The flying hat shot sums up the weather on the day too but my favourite is the shot of the father kissing his daughter on the forehead. She’ll remember that moment and how much her Dad loves her. Priceless.
Gorgeous images Kevin. Love the shot of the lady with the awesome hat!
these images look fantastic Kevin
They’re all great, of course, but my favourites are the bride and her father walking towards the church, then the silhouette in the doorway. Beauties, both.
Lovely shots Kevin – great work!
Superb as always, absolutely love the one of the bride and I assume the father of the bride. A fantastic moment.
Fantastic images Kevin, you really do feel as if you were there enjoying the day
Lovely work Kevin.
Beautiful record of the day. So many great expressions and moments. The bride’s kiss on the forehead is wonderful.
Wow – love these Kevin. Can’t wait for you to photograph our wedding in June.
Kevin,
Amazing. You always seem to capture the essence of the moment and I feel like I was right there. A quintessentially British affair and beautifully photographed. Well done.
Kevin – the lighting in these wedding photographs is amazing – such beautifully framed wedding photography. That church in lechlade looks great too
Some great expressions caught throughout the day. Lovely work.
