Gloucestershire Wedding Photographer
Julie and Ben commissioned me to be their wedding photographer earlier in the year. To say their wedding was magical, would be an understatement.
The weather, the location, the planning, the atmosphere all fell into place on their very special day. The wedding was held in the gardens of the family home and was a veritable feast of family fun and love. It seemed like there were more children there than adults at one point – which is great, of course. As a documentary wedding photographer I love kids at weddings and always strive to capture their cheeky ways and antics.
The ceremony itself was held at the end of the garden with the lovely meadows around and the sound of cricket ball on willow in the next field. The bees were out in force on this lovely summer day, as were the voices of the congregation. Ben and Julie both being very accomplished singers, the guests at the wedding were always going to be in full voice.
The vicar, a family friend, presented a wonderful service and had some wise words for all around. It was clear to see Ben and Julie’s love for each other – and that spilled out in abundance to their own children, their family, guests and their children.
The afternoon moved on with a traditional English tea party, some speeches, some tennis and some magicians to keep the kids happy. Finally finishing up with some wonderfully energetic dancing into the summer night.
Many of these images are shot on the Fuji X100. The very last image, is a panoramic 180 degree handheld image shot on the X100. Please click that image to view it in all its glory.

Stunning reportage as always Kevin – and what a lovely and personal location too! You’ve captured so many great moments – I love the looks of wonder on the children’s faces as they watch the magician and the pano is fantastic
Another gem Mr. Mullins. Loving the kids shot and the gentleman playing tennis. The coiffing of vino between the two men is also a smiler.
Nice work Kevin! Two guys laughing by the pushchair is a great moment, as is playing tennis avec pint!
Consummate as always; beautiful warmth to your b&ws.
The pano’s excellent! and love the framing on the ceremony images.
Really great stuff Kevin. I love the wide colour shot during the ceremony and the 3 images of the kids on the grass. Brilliant! Also, got to love the shot of the boy with the ice cream too!
The Panoramic feature on the x100 is just stunning.
great stuff again Kevin – the shot of the two girls by the fence is just lovely
So English! Love the shots over the hedge. All beautifully done.
Stunning images as always Kevin. Love the x100 panoramic & the way you have captured the spirit of the day. Love the image playing tennis with a beer and the men at the reception table made me smile
Lovely work as usual, Kevin. Much enjoyed the pano- indeed, a neat study of Englishness. I can hear them laughing and chatting now.
Inspiring work as always Kevin.
Wow. Amazing work Kevin. Incredible images. Love the one of the guests looking on during the ceremony. And refreshing to see lots of children – so many ‘no children allowed’ weddings thesedays.
these look fantastic Kevin
I love the wedding ceremony photos and the kids on the grass, you really feel a part of this wedding through the photos. Beautiful!
Cracking work as usual Kevin, and the images of the children looking on in wonder are brililant.
