British and Irish Cup Final Photographs
Earlier in the week, I got a call from Tom at Bristol Rugby Club to see if I could take the club photographs for their British and Irish Cup Final match against Bedford Blues (the usual club photographer – who does a brilliant job – was away on a family engagement).
I had a rare weekend free from wedding photography, and jumped at the chance. Rugby is my sport and a very big passion of mine and so I love photographing rugby games. The match was brilliant, and Bristol rewarded their 4,000+ fans at The Memorial Ground with a 17-14 victory. The match was a fitting farewell to head coach Paul Hull who got his hands on some silver before leaving the club.
As always with my rugby images, I try to edit them in a documentary photography style, and try to emulate the film processing style that I use throughout my client work.
Should you want to purchase prints or copies of the images from any of my rugby photography, then all proceeds will be donated to The Children’s Hospice South West and Ward 34 of the Bristol Children’s Hospital (please contact me if you would like to purchase any prints).
As usual, below is a selection of my favourite images from the day, including images that show the terrible weather throughout the game and the all important try to celebrations.

Nice work Kevin, love the B&W.
Looks like you tested the weather seals on the 1D!
Great set of frames Kevin. What a day for the weather, certainly tested camera seals & your enthusiasm. Well worth the great results & class champagne shot !!
Great shots Kevin… Did you get any of the half time ‘show’ with the Dalmatians?
There are photos of the Dalmatians and a few of the match here:
