The Reid Rooms, Essex Wedding Photography
This was my second visit to The Reid Rooms, Essex as a wedding photographer and I was in for a real treat again. The Reid Rooms is a lovely, perfectly put together wedding venue in the heart of the Essex Countryside. Its ideal for documentary wedding photography with its stunning wedding room, great grounds and wonderful rooms inside.
Michelle and Jody booked me to photograph their wedding in The Reid Rooms some time ago and, as is often the case with my clients, the day of the wedding was the first time I met either of them. I meet a lot of people of course in this line of work but Michelle and Jody are simply two of the nicest people you could want to meet. They are totally, totally in love with each other. Their friends and family were there, in fine spirit, and fully enjoying the occasion.
There is an image in this selection that really struck a chord with me when I was photographing the bridal prep. At one stage, Michelle’s grandmother came into the bridal suite. I watched her for a while and she simply took a seat and watched Michelle have her make-up applied. Of course, I don’t know what was going on in the ladies mind, but she seemed completely lost in though – perhaps reminiscing about her own wedding? Who knows – but its moments like that that make me happy that I am a wedding photographer above all else.
As always, guests at the wedding can see the full gallery here. Please feel free to leave comments or share via Facebook and Twitter.

Some nice shots Kevin, I do like the one of the two boys sitting on the floor, nice observation and capture.
