Leez Priory Wedding Photographer

Back in May I photographed the wedding of Scott and Kate in Essex.  The ceremony took place at Our Lady Immaculate Church in Chelmsford, followed by a wonderful reception at the famous Leez Priory.

Leez Priory has been awarded Winner of Wedding Ideas Magazine ‘Best Wedding Venue’ twice in recent years and its obvious to see why.  The weather was glorious for early May, and Scott, Kate their family and friends were clearly all having a great time.

As usual, here are a selection of some of my favourites from the day – all shot in a documentary / photojournalist way as is my wedding photography style.

    Love the black/white shots.

  2. Love the b/w bridal preps but my favourite out of them all is the reflection in the car window – really subtle, I love it!

  8. That BW mirror shot is very nice, particularly like the processing you’ve done to that image too.

I’m liking to closer work more, for instance the final shot with the man kissing the hand – you really seem to be part of that moment, more of a connection.

Lovely work that just keeps getting better and better.

  9. Phill says:

Powerful stuff Kevin. I especially like the split doorway shot :~)

  10. Claire says:

Wonderfully emotive photos, Kevin. I love the black and white shot of the reception, there is so much going on and every single face is happy – a pretty perfect wedding picture as far as I’m concerned. And if ever there was a bride who was so pretty she didn’t need make up… Kate is stunning.

  11. Kevin, these shots are very evocative and very beautiful indeed. My favourite, if I have to choose one, is the one where the couple are seated in black and white. The look on Kate’s face is priceless!! Such a romantic and simple image, yet it says so many words. WOW!! Donna X

  12. Peter Lawson says:

Beautiful stuff! Love the last image, so much emotion in his face.

  13. Neil Redfern says:

Fantastic work as always, Kevin. The definition of documentary wedding photography :)

  14. Hey, lovely work as usual Kevin. You had me laughing with the cake photo … great humour!

  15. Lucy says:
