Wasing Park Weddings
Wasing Park Weddings are simply wonderful. It’s quite straightforward. As a wedding venue, Wasing Park is one of the very best in the South of England – perhaps even all of England! Nestled amongst 4,000 acres of park land and a favourite with celebrities Wasing Park weddings are always ones to remember. And the wedding of Hannah and Lloyd was no different.
I was delighted when Hannah and Lloyd got in touch all those months ago. As mentioned, Wasing Park is fast becoming a favourite venue of mine so I was very much looking forward to the wedding. Being July, and being the Summer of 2012 of course, it rained. At points it rained biblical, but mostly it just rained a little.
As always, this did not dampen any spirits and after spending some time with Hannah at the bridal suite for some preparation photography I headed over to the parish church (which is in the grounds of Wasing Park and just a stones throw from the rest of the venue) to meet up with Lloyd and the guests arriving.
Moments before the wedding ceremony commenced, as the grooms men settled themselves in for a day of celebration it dawned on Lloyd that the wedding rings were on the mantelpiece. At home. 45 minutes away. There was a look of abject horror and shock before quickly arranging with the vicar to postpone the wedding for a while as one of the ushers dashed off through the Berkshire countryside to retrieve the rings.
No damage was done, a little bit of time lost but something extra to remind Hannah and Lloyd of their lovely wedding at Wasing Park.
Luckily by the time the ceremony had ended the rain had ceased and the bride and groom headed over to the barns for the rest of their celebrations. A wonderfully touching set of speeches, both from Hannah’s dad and Lloyd set the scene for some raucous stories from the best man.
A pig roast, and a first dance completed the formalities for my photographic coverage and I departed into the very wet evening.
As I said, all Wasing Park Weddings are wonderful but the wedding of Hannah and Lloyd was very memorable for many reasons. A lovely couple who I know will have a strong and loving marriage.
I you are considering a Wasing Park wedding then please don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss your wedding photography requirements further.

High standards as usual Kevin.
Another fantastic set of images Kevin. Love the dark moody sky over the barn shot, and as ever your B&W shots are delicious.
Fabulous set of images Kevin. Wasing Park is one of my favourite venues too!
Great set of images Kevin – that shot of the venue with the rain clouds is a cracker and, by the sounds of it, tells the story of the day well.
Brilliant wedding photojournalism Kevin. Wasing Park never looked so good.
Really beautiful story-telling images Kevin. You’ve got a knack for picking out great candids down the aisle.
Great capture of the little girl during the ceremony…and I love the silhouette during the prep – your a master at those!
Beautiful! The one of the flower girl in the aisle is exceptional. Always an inspiration, sir.
I never tire of you images Kevin. Love the little girl in the church.
Agree with all the comments about the flower girl. Superb image. Also love the pregnancy one! I’ve been waiting for a long time to see what you would do with this venue – and you’ve captured in beautifully. Neale
Great photos! How ever did you get the groom from behind the bride and then get her from the front of the church? I guess it pays to be athletic.
Thanks Rachel. Nothing to do with athleticism (sadly). I was positioned half way down the aisle
Lovely stuff Kevin, love the one of him realising about the rings!
Brilliant work, I love the Bride & Groom heading the down the aisle newly married image.

You always have a great vibe to your images..I guess its called talent..
A belated Happy New Year to you and your fans.
Excellent work Kevin. Well done for getting so many great images at the ceremony too. Great to see your way of seeing things at one of our local venues.
