A very quick post this morning to mention a couple of recent sucesses in the SWPP Awards Monthly competition.
I’m an active member of both the SWPP and the ISPWP and I enjoy the benefits of both. One of the best things about both of the societies is the competitions and it gives me a chance to enter some images that I personally admire for a chance of some glory. Of course, it’s subjective to a point, and what I like, may not be the liking of the eminent judges but I believe that as a photographer I should always be learning, and pushing my craft and business forward.
The competitions are a vehicle for this and whilst I’m sometimes disappointed, other times I’m very happy.
Normal blogging will resume soon – I’ve had an incredibly busy April and May (having shot four weddings alone in the last seven days)……
This image from Nicolas and Emilie’s Hare and Hounds Wedding was awarded a Highly Commended rating in the Mario Acerboni 4-in-1 Category
This familiar image, with a monochrome finish, was awarded Highly Commended in the Monochrome Category.
And finally, this image was awarded a Gold in the Wedding Photojournalism category. An anxious looking Simon at his wedding at Penshurst place last year
This image was also awarded a Highly Commended in the Wedding Photojournalism category – it remains one of my favourite images.
